Dieppe, the neighboring town, is a historic town, rich in a heritage bearing the traces of a glorious past. A port of conquest towards the new world, the port activity is today revived by a niche commercial activity, by a marina of more than 500 rings which welcomes many British and northern European tourists, and by cross-Channel traffic towards the English coast.
Pourville beach is today very busy and very popular with water sports enthusiasts. The charm of the line of beach huts on boards is a little old-fashioned but so appreciated by bathers. Young sportsmen have fun with their surfboards and kitesurfs. The more reasonable ones go swimming, coastal walking or paddle boarding. In the evening, on the terraces of bars and restaurants, the view of the high chalk cliffs is an inexpensive luxury.
